I called my mentor to schedule a meeting with her that day. She told me that she would call me back in a hour. When she called me back I gave her directions to my house. Once she arrived I met her son and daughter. We then were on our way to a human rights thing but she wanted her children to see my daughter.
We then went to the Athens Montessori school for the human rights thing. But we was late everyone had left. We went on a sculpture tour around the school.
We left there and her daughter was ready to go home. We then went to her house where she asked me to water her flowers while she packed for a trip to Jacksonville. Then we went to walk her dogs around the lake. After that she went and had her oil changed.
I told her that I was done with the project. We will be presenting them on Thurday. She said that she would try her best to be there. After a long day she then went and got me lunch and took me back home.

I met with my mentor today. She talked about going to Athens Tech this morning and meeting with the Registered Nurses that will be graduating. She said that when she graduated in 1972 the graduating class was just women. The graduating class now is divided between men and women.
While driving down the road she decided to take to Burger King for lunch.Which was something different for all the past visits. But that was okay. While I finished eating we went to a house that she is fixing up.My mentor and her friend were trying to decide on paint colors.
After we left there we then went to Staham where she was trying to meet a friend of hers. But she wasn't home. While on the drive back we discussed more about the nursing profession. We talked some about the handbook and she asked me if I needed any more information in it.

Independent Reading
This week I read "How I found the strong" by Margaret McMullan.Abraham Lincoln has just declared war.Pa and Henry had to go to war.The two of them can't write their family because they can't read or write. They have a slave that works for them.In early winter they are in the middle of a drought.Right now this story is taking place in 1861.It is christmas day and Buck, the slave, has got his christmas gift on.Buck gives shanks a knapsack and tells him that it might make a good pair of shoes.Grandma has been in bed since Grandpa left and she has now died. When Shanks returns from telling someone that his gradmother died, his mother was having the baby.An escaped soldier helped deliver the baby. The next day the preacher came to help bury grandma.Shanks went over to Irenes and stayed the night.Sometime went by when he went back and he found out that Irene's pa had died.In the fall of 1862 pa came home.He lost a few toes to frostbite and his arm was missing.Henry died while in the war,pa won't say how.Pa Buck, and shanks went to the preacher's house to get some food. They were out of everything.Late one night some townspeople came and forced Buck out of his shack.Because he was scared of water they forced him in the water head first. When the townspeople finally freed Buck,Pa decided to walk with him a piece and gave him the papers to free him.Pa gave him directions on which way to go and how to build a fire that would have less smoke. When Pa and shanks were by the river he asked Pa how henry died and he told him. Some soldier attacked Pa and shanks had to shoot him. When Pa was freed he had been stabbed in his chest. His Pa told him to go on without him but he refused to.When they made it home everyone thought that they had been killed. The preacher and his wife were their and had dinner prepared.Irene kissed shanks on his right cheek.A lot of things had changed since the war began Grandma and Henry died,Grandpa left and never returned,Ma had Bit and then she later had another son. They had more money then,Pa and I was building me house. Finally I was being caleed but my name Frank and not shanks.

Today I had to meet with my mentor. I waited in the lobby of the school until she arrived. Once she arrived we went and got some lunch at Zaxbys. We then went to the parking lot to eat but Zaxbys had gave her the wrong kind of salad dressing, so we went back to get that corrected. While we were eating I took some notes on what I was going to include in the handbook.
After we finished eating we then went to porter paint to match some colors to what she is needed to paint. That took a few minutes to do that. We then left and talked more about the project. She talked about going to the hospital and Athens Tech to visit about nursing.
After we left the paint store we went to the Firehall 4 Animal Hospital. She went there to get some pictures for a cake. The picture had black and white spotted puppies on it. She was in that place for about 15 minutes.
Once we left there we went to a bakery shop. We went there to show the bakery the pictures for the cake, that lady said that a real picture would work best. So we left and we across the street and a really expensive clothing store. While we were at that store she had a dress made for her, so she went and tried it on. The dress a kind of a pastel green. It was beautiful.
Then it was getting close to me to get back to school. We then went back to the Firehall 4 Animal Hospital to take the picture that I mentioned earlier. When I arrived back at school I got all of my books from my other class, While she talked to Mr. Girtz. We talked about meeting again in two weeks.

I met with my mentor today. I had to wait in the lobby of the school until she arrived. When she arrived she went around to the school to talk to some of the people that she knew. Before we left my mentor came to talk to Mr. Girtz before we left. Once she arrived we discussed on what we were going to have for lunch. We then went to Zaxbys. We parked in the mall parking lot and ate. After we finished eating we just talked for a while.
My mentor asked me "Why did I want to become a nurse?" I told her that it was a life long career that I always wanted to do. I told her my family history on why I wanted to become a nurse. She told me that she is a Registered Nurse. She told me a little about her family and I told her a little about mine.
Once I arrived back at school, I had to get some paperwork about my senior project filled out by my mentor. I took her to see the childcare room and to see my daughter. I couldn’t go in there because my daughter would cry. She left after that and I continued the rest of my class. It took a couple of weeks for us to meet again.

India went and had dinner with Paul. They became really close then Paul decided that he didn't want to be with India any more because of the memories of his decesed wife.India was so upset that she had a car crash on her way home that night. While in the hospital India called her friend Gail to come pick her up.As time went on she got her life back in order.India was then offered a job but she would have to be away for three weeks.India decided to call Doug and ask if he would keep the kids and he said yes but he got to stay in the house, which India didn't mind because it would be easier for the kids. While over seas doing her job she ran into Paul who was over there but on a different assignment. They only talked as friends.India was gone that day when she returned she got a message that Sam her youngest son had broke his arm.India had to drive two hours to use the phone to check on him.Doug got mad because she needed to be at home with her some not Doug's girlfriend. When India returned home the kids were so happy to see her.India also found out that Doug was getting married in December when the divorce was final. When school was out for the summer India and the kids went to Cape Cod as they always did.A really bad storm came and while India was trying to get Sam in the house they saw the Sea Star coming toward them.India didn't believe it until Paul took her in his arms.

Romantic
The Romantic period started at the end of the French Revolution in 1789.It ended with the parliamentary reforms in 1832."The era was dominated by six poets:three (William Blake,William Wordsworth, and Samual Taylor Coleridge)were born before the period began and lived through most or all of it,while three others (the "second generation" of Percy Bysshe Shelley,John Keats, and George Gordon,Lord Byron)began their short careers in the second decade of the new century but died before 1825."
The Industrial Revolution was bringing about other changes in English life.Goods had been made by hand at home now factories had machines that worked faster."The economic philosophy that kept all this misery going was a policy called laissez faire,"let people do as they please."The rich grew richer and the poor suffered even more.Small children were often used as beasts."In the coal pits, for example, very small children were even harnessed to carts for dragging coal, just as they had been small donkeys."
I think that life would be very hard.Children espectially had it bad being used as donkeys. If you were rich life would probably wouldn't be as bad.If you were poor, you would just get poorer. When the laissez faire came along the "economic laws should be allowed to operate freely without government interference."
The Romantic poets used lyrical ballads, nature and imagination to express their work. The lyrical ballads a new kind of poetry was "well adapted to interest mankind permanently."This form of poetry lends itself to spontaneity, immediatiacy,a quick burst of emotion, and self revelation."Wordworth focused on rural life not the city life. The Romantics were often called nature poets. This description is misleading if it suggests that their poetry is full of charming scenes of forests, mountains, and streams-like the scenic overlooks on highways or the pictures on travel brochures."Romantics prized the beauty and majesty of nature."They did not think of nature as hostile, but they had a strong sense of its mysterious forces, and they were intrigued by the ways of nature and the human mind act upon each other."
"Each of the Romantic poets had his own special view of the creative power of the imagination and of the ways in which the humans mind isadapted to nature."Poems sometimes present imaginative experience that are powerful and moving.Imagination is kind of like a desire,"a motive that drives the mind to learn and to know things it cannot learn by rational and logical thinking."
I read The Lamb by William Blake. Its about a lamb and someone is asking who made thee. The lamb is by the stream in the meadow. The lamb has the softest clothing.Christ is called the lamb.He is meek and mild.He became a little child. Its a good example of Romantic poetry becaus ethe poem is describing a little bit of nature."By the stream and o'er the mead"and "making all the vales rejoice?"
I read She dwelt among the untrodden ways by William Wordworth. This poem is abotu a maid that very few loved. She lived unknown and very few could known. This an example of romantic poetry because its describing nature."She dwelt among the untrodden ways beside the springs of dove."
I read she walks in beauty by George Gordon,Lord Byron. This poem is talking about a woman and about her beauty. It describes all of her features. This poem is an example of imagination."She walks in beauty, like the night of cloudless climes and starry skies."
I read Ozymandias by Percy Bysshe Shelly. This poem is about about a sculptor. The sculptor saying that he is a king of kings. This poem has a lot of imagination."My name is Ozymandias, king of kings:Look on my works,ye mighty and despire..."
I read When I have fears by John Keats.Tis poem is about someone who has fears, like he is scarde of the dark. This poem has imagination."When I behold, upon the night's starred face, huge cloudy symbols of high romance, and theink that I may never live the trace Their shadows, with the magic hand of chance..."
"After Napoleons defeat at waterloo in 1815,Britian was not involved in a major war until World War one began in 1914."The Industrial Revolution greatly expanded. It moved through booms and depressions."The first decade of Victoria's reign was full of troubles this period came to be known as the "Hungary Forties."Victoria came to throne in 1842,the first year of depression. She put a million and a half on some form of poor relief."Government commissions investing working conditions learned of children of mangled when they fell asleep at machines at the end of a tweleve-hour working day."
After reading about the Victorian period, I think that living in that period would be hard.Children were working tweleve hour shifts and they were falling asleep at their machines. This could have been very dangerous working conditions. When the potato Blight came in Ireland a million people were killed and two million people were forced to emigrate. Some went to English cities where ten to tweleve in a room of slums that had two toilets for every 250 people.to me life back then could be very hard.
The difference between the romantic period and the victorian period is how they treated the children. The Romantic period they had factories. This period is no better the other. They went by the policy "Laissez faire",which means let the people do as they please. In the Victorian period they worked the children tweleve hour days, which could be very tiring. But both periods had very poor conditions.
One way victorian wrote was through question and doubts.Their literature was filled with voices asking questions and raising doubts."Speaking for many of their contemporaries, and speaking to others they thought shallow and complacent,Victorian writers asked weather material comfort fully satisfied human needs and wishes."
Another way the poets wrote was to make readers aware of the connection of heaven and earth, body and soul."The highest purpose of a poet,of any writer, was to make readers aware of the connection between earth and heaven, body and soul, material and ideal."Some poets didn't believe in writing that way."Gerard Manley Hopkins is one and Christina Rossetti another-writers younger than Alfred Tennyson and Ruskin found it increasingly difficult to believe in an infinate power and order that made sense of material and human existence."
Another way was by moral and political."Victorian writers had purposes as a various as the ideas of reality they believed in.Some writers wanted to scare or shame readers into effective moral and politial actions that they optimistically believed were possible."Some Victorian literature entertained, informed, warned, and reassured.
The poem I read was The Eagle: A Fragment by Alfred,Lord Tennyson. This poem is about an eagle when he sees his prey.Thsi poem is describing all the nature around the eagle."The wrinkled sea beneath him crawls;"Just another example "He watches from his mountain walls."
The poem I read was Sonnet 43 by Elizabeth Barrett browning. This poem is about someone telling them how much they love thee. They are telling about their feelings about that person."I love thee with a love I seem to lose." Another example is "I love thee to the depth and breadth and height."
The poem I read was Dover Beach by Matthew Arnold. This poem is describing the beach. It is telling about the moon and the sea.It also tells some of the ancient grek people, sophocles and aegean."The sea is calm tonight The tide is full, the moon lies fair."
The poem I read was Ah,Are you digging on my grave? by Thomas Hardy. This poem is asking someone who is digging my grave. Then the person names off a few people who might be digging this grave."ah,Are you digging my grave,my loved one?----Palnting rue."Another example is "Then who is digging my grave my nearest dearest kin?"

When King James the 2nd,King of Great Britian from 1685 until he fled to France 1688,which brought the revolution on.The Glorious Revolution was the overthrown of James the 2nd of England in 1688.The revolution was closely tied with the war of the Grand Alliance on mainland Europe.James had a son in June. His daughter was set to get the throne until he had a son.His son in law wanted to get the throne.James was against catholicism and French abolutism.
I think that the event is so important because ruling over a country is very important. The townspeople wants someone good to do it.Not to make the town into a war or something like that.A lot of times there is arguements over who is going to take over the throne with that person dies. The person who takes over needs to be a boy.
The definition of satire is sarcasm or ridcule online. My definition of satire is someone that is mean or that is always putting someone down. Some examples are tv shows like the simpsons and king of the hill.
This story is about women having babies. They start by telling the weight of the child when they are nursed properly. When the child is properly nursed they will began to weigh at 28 pounds. Then they began telling about how many poor children there are. There are about four-fifths born poor.In the city of Dublin they would rather buy the children healthy and then put hot clothes on them until they sweat as they would do when they are roasting pigs.A very wealthy person wants very young lads about forteen but no younger than tweleve. All the people that bought the children only wants to fatten them. The poor will pay their rent by corn, money, cattle,or anything that can be siezed. They want poor mothers to miscarry their unborn child. This works with satire because the writer is always putting the poor down. All the city people are wanting to do is to buy children and then fatten them up.
The journal of the plague year is about a sickness taht spread very quickly. Some people didn't even know that they had it until the next day. Many people didn't live six hours. They soon would get gangrene spots on their body."For example, many persons in the time of this visitation never percieved that they were infected till they found to thier unspeakable surprise, the tokens came out upon them;afterwhich that they seldom lived six hours;for those spots called the tokens were really gangrene spots or mortified flesh..."One man in the town even hung himself. Many people were killing themselves even mothers killing their children. Some people would have strokes and even epilepsies. One man went to the motel and said he was infection free but the next morning he was dead."He asked them for lodging for onr night only, pretending to be going into Lincolnshire, and assuring them of being very sound and free from the infection..."One man had the infection and he broke way from the nurse and ran. With all the motions of his arms and leg it must have cured the infection.
I think that if you were going to live in that time you would need to stay in the house."For example, many persons in the time of this visitation never percieved that they were infected till they found the unspeakable surprise..."Many people would not be honest with you if they had it.Once you got the infection they didn't live long."...many seldom lived only six hours..."The only way to be sure that you don't catch it is to stay in the house.

Shakespeare uses the rhyme scheme ABAB CDCD EFEF GG.Spencer uses ABAB BCBC CDCD EE.Spencer uses his rhyme scheme as a "hook".When one line ends he hooks that line to the next one.
In Shakesphere he is saying that he could compare her to summer but the winds are rough and summer only lasts for a short time.Sometimes the sun shines and dimmmed and his lady is dimmed.Nature is always changing.his lady shall never lose possession or die.She will never die because he wrote this poem.He is saying that when she dies she will continue to live on because he wrote that poem.
Spencer is saying that his love is like ice and he is like fire. She treats him cold while he is like fire.He is wanting to know why she is like ice and he is like fire. How come the ice doesn't melt or that the fire doesn't get put out.He is asking why doesn't the ice put the fire out.Even though she is like ice and he is like fire their love has grown stronger.

He wrote her name in the sand and the tide came and washed it away.It made his pains his prey.He is afaid that she might go away.Even if you die you shall live by fame. That their love shall live on forever.
Sonnet 130 William Shakespheare
My mistress'eyes are nothing like the sun, A
Coral is far more red than her lips'red B
If snow be white, why then her breasts are dun,A
If hairs be wires, black wires grow on her head.B
I have seen roses'damasked,red and white,C
But no such roses see I in her cheeks.D
And in some perfumes is there more delight C
Than in the breath that from my mistress reeks,D
I love to hear her speak, yet well i know E
That music hath a far more pleasing sound.F
I grant I never saw a goddess go,E
My mistress,when she walks,treads on the ground.F
And yet,by heaven,I think my love as rare G
As any she belied with false compare.G
He is describing his girlfriend. Her eyes are like the sun.Her lips are red.Snowballs are like her breasts. Her hair is like black wires growing out of her head. Her cheeks are like roses. Her breath is like perfume exhaled form her mouth. He loves to hear her speak and to see her walk by.He thinks that his love is rare beyond anything that he can compare.
About my daughter
She is like the sun,her hair so golden.
Her eyes are like the sky
Her skin is so fair
Money can not buy.
Shes tall like the trees
Her hands are so neat
Her hair is golden like yellow bees
Shes got a good beat
Her behavior is not so great
Even though shes bad,she means well
Its always hard for me to wait
There are days when she yells
I know shes my child sincerely
I love her dearly
Sonnet 75 Edmund Spenser
One day I wrote her name upon the strand, A
But came the waves and washed it away; B
Again I wrote it with a second hand, A
But came the tide, and made my pains his prey. B
"Vain man," said she,"that doest in vain assay, B
A moral thing so to immortalize, C
For myself shall like to this decay, B
And eke my name be wiped out likewise." c
"Not so,"quod I,"let baser things devise C
To die in dust, but you shall live by fame;D

Renaissance
When Johannes Guthenberg invented the printing press, it changed everthing. The people no longer needed the the popes to translate the Bible.People began to buy them. When people began to buy the Bibles they started doubting the power of the Catholic Church.Another problem came when King Henry broke away from the Catholic Church to start the Church of England.King Henry wanted to divorce his wife but the pope wouldn't let him. In the end he had six wives. Two he divorced, two he beheaded, one died on her own and the other out lived him.He had three children, two girls and a boy, which later died when he was sixteen. The older sister took over and ruled for five years. Then the younger sister took over and ruled for forty-five years. When the younger sister died the Renaissance was coming to an end. After she died King James took over. He's the man who comissioned the English translation of the Bible today.

middle ages
The medieval "crusade" means holy war. Only those of the holy land was considered in the crusade. The holy land was Jerusalem and associated territory. Jerusalem was govered by muslims but they tolerated christain pilgram because they helped the economy. In 1070, Turks conquered the holy land and mistreated the christians. The crusade began in 1095 and ended on 1291. Some historians say 1798.
Thomas a Becket was a London merchant's son. Later in life he became one of the most pious and devolt archbishop. At age 21, king Henry became king and thomas became his chancellor. In October 1164, Henry and Thomas had got into a confrontation and henry accuased him of being a traitor. thomas was mad for six years about the fight. Thomas later returned to the Canterbury, Thomas told his fellow bishops "many they all be damned by Jesus Christ!" On December 29 henry's knights reached Thomas. One of the knights struck Thomas in the shoulder with a flat sword. After that on other four knights attacked and butchered him. When Henry found out about the death of Thomas, he starved himself for three days.
The Magna Carta was sealed by king John of England on June 15, 1215. He promised to goveren England and deal with all the vassels according to the customs of the feudal law. The Magna Carta had 63 clauses. In 1214, John granted liberities to the church. The Magna Carta was entrusted to 25 barons who authorized the document. The Magna Carta was valid for a short time. John asked the pope of Rome to invalidate the document.
The black death had three different types:bubonic, pneumonic, and septicemic. All three forms are caused by yersinia pestis. The Bubonic mortality rate is 30-75%. The symptoms include: enlarged and inflamed lymph nodes, headache, nausea, aching joints, fever of 101-105 degrees. Pneumonic mortality rate 90-95%. Symptoms include slimy sputum tinted with blood. Septicemic mortality rate close to 100%. There is no cure today. Symptoms include: high fever and deep shade of purple due to disseminated intravascular coagulation. People usually die same day of the symptoms appear.
The knight was a noble and truly perfect knight. "From the moment that he first began to ride about the world, loved chivalry, truth, honour, freedom and all courtesy." The squire was a lover and a lively bachelor. "in stature he was of average lengh, wondrously active, agile, and great of strengh." The yeoman was clothed in a coat and a hood of green. "A sheaf of peacock arrows bright and keen under his belt he bore very carefully." The prioress spoke french fairly and fluently. "Who, in her smiling, modest, and coy; her greatest oath was but "by saint elroy!" The monk was an outrider and hunting was his choice. "A monk there was, one of the finest sort." The friar a limiter a very festive man. "He had arranged many marriages, giving each of young women, and this at his own cost."The merchant spoke out of his opinions very solemnly. "He wanted the sea guarded at any cost between Middleburgh and the town of Orwel." The clerk studied philosophy long ago. "he took utmost care and heed for his study."
Franklin had been a sheriff and a tax auditor. "There was a franklin in his company; white was his beard as in the white daisy."The shipman's face was burnt brown because of the sun. "There was a sailor, living far out west, for all i know, he was of Dartmouth town." The wife of bath had five husbands. "There was a wife of bath, or a near city, who was somewhat deaf, it is a pity."The parson was a clerk and had religion. "A good man was there of religion, he was a poor country parson, but rich he was in holy thought and work."The miller was stoutly built, broad and heavy. "The miller was a strong fellow, be it known, hardy, big of brawn and big of bone."The manciple was a vulgar man. "The manciple was from the inner temple, to whom all buyers might think of as an example."The reeve was a slender choleric man who shaved his beard as close as ever he can."The summoner had a face that younger children feared. "A summoner was with us in that place, who had a fiery-red, cherubic face, all pimpled up." Wife of bath deaf. She traveled to Jerusalem three times. The wife of bath i later found out that she was married five times.
The story i chose to read was Sir Gawin and the Green Knight. The green knight had just reached the castle. The lord of the castle welcomes him but tells him he needs to rest in the castle with him and his lady. The green knight purposes that he will hunt everyday and Gawain must give the lord at what he caught. When the lord goes hunting his lady enters Gawain's room and tries to seduce him."Twice the lord goes hunting, and each time the lord leaves the castle, his wife sercretly visits Gaiwain's room and tries to seduce him. Though Gawain reasists the lady and excanges only innocent kisses with her, he has become greatly alarmed." Gawain always refuses but gives her innocent kisses instead.Gawain then tells her he must be on his way but she now wants something to remember him by.Everything that she offers he refuses. She later tried to give Gawain her sash and he took it. She told him to keep it hid from the lord. When the lord returns from hunting he gave Gawain a fox and in return Gawain gave him three kisses not the sash."He leaves the castlewith a servant to show him the way. The servant urges him not to keep his appointment, for he will surely die, but Gawain refuses." Gawain finally went on his way. When he reached where he was supposed to go, he met the green knight. When Gawain began to bow the green knight grabbed his ax and was going to strike him.The green knight found out about the kisses and the sash that was given to Gawain. The green knight sent his wife to test Gawain. Gawain was bleeding when he gave the sash back. After Gawain and the green knight talked, Gawain became pure and they went back to the new year's revels.
One thing that reflects the middle ages was that you had to be loyal to your lord. Which Gawain was not because he kissed the lord's wife and she gave him her sash and told him not to tell. When the green knight and Gawain met gawain never hit the green knight, he let the green knight hit him. Gawain admired the lady even though he knew that was the lord's wife. He alter finds out that the green knight's wife was just testing him. At the end the green knight said that Gawain and his wife could be friends but nothing else."I beg you said the lord and said as for my wife she'll be your friend, no more a threat against your life."

Beowulf
In the poem Beowulf, he was like a hero.Hrothgar became king and he built a mead hall. After it was built he handed out gold and treasure. The Mead-Hall was high towered, tall and wide gabled.People were happy until Grendel moved in the mead hall.Hrothgar suffered sorrows for 12 years. The Danes began to forget who God was. Then Beowulf came to fix the problem.LAter Grendel meets Beowulf when they meet they fight and Beowulf kills Grendel. No warriors weresad about the death.Hrothgar gave Beowulf decorated flag, helmet, armor and precious sword. When Grendel's mother found out about he son's death she was very angry. She went into the Mead-Hall and killed Hrothgar's most loyal man.Beowulf and grendel's mother got into a fight she could not injure Beowulf. Beowulf couldn't injure her until he stabbed her in the neck. Beowulf cut off her head and broght it back to the Mead-Hall.
I didn't really like the Beowulf because it is very hard to understand.Something that really stuck out to me was that Beowulf was like a god to the people. The towns people like worshipped him.The anglo-saxon was not a well organized community. The anglo-saxon had a different king for each section.Eventhough christanity was on the rise in England, The anglo-saxon religon was still on the rise.Odin was the most important god in the anglo-saxon.He was god of death, magic, and poetry. We get the name wednesday from odin. There was a dragon who was the protector of treasure of warrior graves.
Beowulf had a lot in common with the anglo-saxon.In the prologue Beowulf was like superman because he comes and saves the day by killing Grendel.Grendel came in the night and ate a man whole including his hands and feet. Beowulf grasped grendels finger until they broke.Beowulf broke his fingers so he would be in pain until he would eventually kill him. "Bewulf's warriors brandished many a sword, inheritances from the ancient days, trying to protect their chief...brave warriors fought striking from all sides, seeking to take Gredel's soul." The end of Grendel's life was miserable.Grendel's death made no warrior sad.Another reason Beowulf had a lot to do with anglo-saxon was that in the prologue they talked of many kings. In the poem you hear of "many danish kings and how they were great warriors.Grendel's mother reminded me of a childhood story when the troll lived under the bridge. In the prologue "Grendel's mother, a monster woman, lived in the terrible water, the cold streams, thought of her misery."
I think that Beowulf is similar to spider Man because when there is a problem with Grendel he was always there to save the day. Beowulf also tried to fight Grendel's mother and the dragon also.He also tries to fight something that is way powerful and too big like the dragon.
I think that Beowulf's death was a tragedy. He died trying to protect everyone even though he knew that he might die. The dragon had bitten him on the neck that made him bleed. They bathed Beowulf until he was clean. He could talk in a low voice until he finally died.
This poem was very hard for me to understand. I may have not answered all the questions appropiately. I was wrte in language that was hard for me to understand.
